Housed in a faux book casing that is in near fine condition save for a few nicks to the faux gilt pages (please see photographs). Artificially aged decorative box with "secret" compartments lined in felt that house the book and envelope containing 10 Collector's Edition Prints. The book itself is bound in brown leatherette with a metal clasp to keep it locked shut and ornamental decorations including a skull with replica jeweled eyes. In Fine condition, housed in a red velvet bag with a facsimile of Rowling's signature. The 10 prints are enclosed in the original publisher's folio and are also in fine condition, ready for framing. Folio in fine condition and displays a parchment-like effect that matches the aged aesthetic of the overall set. These collector's edition prints are not found in the standard or original copy of the book. This particular set is in Very Fine condition, save for the slight soiling and chipping to the publisher's "This Side Up" sleeve that protects the "textbook" and the slight gilt nicking shown in our accompanying photographs. Also a silver coloured clasp with stone. 7ins x 4.5ins, marbled endpapers, 180pp. Translated from the original runes by Hermione Granger. Commentary by Professor Albus Dumbledore. Introduction, notes and illustrations by J.K. Rowling. Fine book contained in a velvet pouch with J.K. Rowlings signature stitched on in gilt thread. The pouch sits in a purpose made hollow within a clamshell box that has been designed to look like an antiquarian book. This box has four raised bands and gilt lettering to the spine. Blind stamped lettering and decoration to the front board. Also in the box, in an envelope which has its own slot, are 10 prints that were only available with this collectors edition. The box itself is in a white thin card sleeve with lettering saying "this side up".
