Collection of Letters, photographic prints and notes by David Kinsey from his study trip to Algiers. David C. Kinsey (1930-1998). UMass Amherst Professor Of Education 1975-1997. Packet includes 20 black and white photographic copies reproduction each stamped: "Official reproduction with mention," photographs are of everyday activities as well as scenic shots from Kabylie and Jurjura; Kabylie is a cultural region in northern Algeria. It is part of the Tell Atlas mountain range (which includes Jurjura), and is located at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea; Original envelope is chipped and torn but contains 9 Algerian postage stamps (some detached). Also included is correspondence between Kinsey and an Algerian librarian transcribed copy of a 1913 letter from Yacoub Artin Pacha - the subject of research by Kinsey. Kabylie is a cultural region in northern Algeria. It is part of the Tell Atlas mountain range (which includes Jurjura), and is located at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. The Djurdjura or of the Tell Atlas, part of the Atlas Mountain System. It is located in Kabylie, Algeria. Packet sent by mail 1950's Kinsey's study trip to Algiers.
