The Drive to Thrive Anthology is the publication of winning entries in the 2nd Annual Writers Unite to Fight Cancer 2013 Writing Contest. Writers Unite to Fight Cancer Entry fees for the contest were donated to the Arizona State University Cancer Research Program at the Awards Ceremony held at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, Arizona on September 24th, 2013. Judges, editors, and publishers for the WUFC Writing Contest donated their time and talents to this effort. The Drive to Thrive Anthology includes contributions by some of the judges and editors, some cancer patients, and other WUFC supporters. The collection of inspirational literature on the theme: The Drive to Thrive. Fiction and non-fiction stories as well as poetry demonstrate the human spirit while overcoming various life challenges including cancer and multiple sclerosis by individuals, families and communities. The reader will experience triumph as each author shares their own unique voice.

Margaret Turley is the Administrator for Writers Unite to Fight Cancer founded in June of 2010. Our mission is to increase community awareness about cancer and raise money for cancer research. WUFC is a 501 (c) (3) public charity. IRS Tax ID 27-2098690, a non-profit administered by White Lions Foundation; all donations are tax-deductible. The money we raise supports both local and national cancer research programs, and may be donated to cancer patients to assist in obtaining the care they need.
