About the Author:
One of the leading experts on Islam, Seyyed Hossein Nasr is University Professor of Islamic Studies at The George Washington University. He is author of numerous books including Man and Nature, Islam and the Plight of Modern Man, Muhammad: Man of God, Sufi Essays, A Young Muslim's Guide to the Modern World and many more. The most recent volume in the Library of Living Philosophers has been dedicated to his thought and is entitled The Philosophy of Seyyed Hossein Nasr.
