Forget the paper and poster board--use your own body as the backdrop for colorful creations. Paint your face like a lion and roar with delight. Stencil a daisy on your arm for summer fun. With Mom or Dad's help, any youngster can turn into a pirate, a princess, or a calico cat. Older kids can adorn a shoulder with a galloping zebra or tickle some toenails with a tropical scene. All the techniques from face painting to henna tattooing are described in detail and accompanied by color photos illustrating the before, during, and after of the process. Safety tips, equipment lists, and patterns for hundreds of designs are included.

From School Library Journal:
Grade 7 Up-A step-by-step body-decorating book that offers a range of designs in several techniques. For each type of activity, equipment and suggestions for getting started are discussed. Individual face-painting designs show several stages of the applications. The sections on airbrush tattoos (including two pages of stencil patterns), henna patterns, and nail decorations are likely to have real teen appeal. While most of the directions are easy to follow, airbrush tattoos require more sophisticated equipment including a compressor. Striking color photos, some full page, appear throughout the book. However, many feature children, while the techniques and most of the designs are for an older audience, including adults working with children.
