About the Author:
Mary Karr started college when the youngest of her four children started high school. She earned a BS in psychology and speech communication and her MS in speech communication. She lives with her husband in Portland, Oregon, where she created and teaches two communication courses--Effective Listening and Nonverbal Communication--on the Internet for Marylhurst University.
