About the Author:
Lucy Daniels was born and brought up in the Yorkshire countryside, where she still lives. She has always loved animals. She is a full time writer who gained experience of writing working on Sweet Valley High, Little Sister, and Mystery Club..
From School Library Journal:
Grade 4-6-With her family facing financial difficulties, Josie Grace, 12, has to accept the fact that they need to find another home for their 22-year-old horse, Faith, and that it may not be easy to relocate the elderly mare. Josie and her mother visit potential new owners and share in the decision making, but find that no one seems to have the right qualifications-one family lives in a permanent state of chaos; another is snobbish and cold. Then, in a Hollywood kind of ending, the perfect people turn up-the parents of a girl who had been a good rider until she had a serious accident is desperately looking for a gentle, quiet, kind horse to help their depressed daughter recuperate. She falls in love with Faith and also befriends Josie. The intelligent and caring way in which the Graces deal with a difficult problem makes this an upbeat and moving story that may inspire readers to look for the planned sequels.
