From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-Grade 2 While not as sophisticated in concept as Gardner's The Turn About, Think About, Look About Book (Lothrop, 1980), Guess What? is an attractive picture puzzle book with bold, colorful graphics. The right-hand page shows some portion of an animal in bright, vibrant color; on the verso page is a picture of the entire animal in subdued gray tones with a fine white border surrounding the detail of the previous page. Introductory text consists of instructions on how to use the book; the name of each animal appears on the bottom left-hand corner of the gray, total-picture page. Most of the animalswhich include a snail, a snake and a fishare easily identified, although the puzzles are intriguing enough to bring children back to "play" this book several times over. Janice M.
