Grade 3-5-- Minnabell Mouse inherits guardianship of an antique flask containing water from the true Fountain of Youth. The evil vampire bat, Count Von Flittermouse, needs the magic liquid to prolong his unnatural life and kidnaps Minnabell's young cousin to force a trade. Like Shadow over Mousehaven Manor (Scholastic, 1989), this is an affectionate rodent parody of the standard gothic novel, complete with secret passages, cloaked villains, and noble heroes.
