From Library Journal:
Noted British food journalist and broadcaster Henrietta Green tells where to find the best quality food in England, Wales, and Scotland. Meat, fish and seafood, fresh produce, baked goods, dairy products, flour, jams and jellies, herbs, and condiments are included with symbols indicating whether the establishment is a shop, farm, market stall, pick-your-own, or mail order. A description is given of how each product is made along with travel directions, telephone numbers, hours of operation, and credit cards accepted. Included are a few quality restaurants and recipes. Mail orders (with very few exceptions) are limited to within the country. A thorough and excellently written guide, this is intended for British readers and has limited value for Americans. Recommended for large libraries or extensive collections.?Lucille Corbo, MLS, Scranton, Pa.
