PreSchool-Grade 2-- In a first-person narrative, a little girl describes her relationship with her cat, Archie. While she's in school, Archie waits patiently, but when she comes home he follows her into the woods for an afternoon of play and observation of the natural world. Then in the evening it's her turn to follow Archie into the mysteries of a moonlit night. A sense of discovery permeates the pages, and the attractive illustrations reveal much to readers. They're dense and detailed, creating a lush, idyllic setting.
