Erica Orloff is a writer who lives and works in South Florida. She is the author/coauthor of the humor books Dirty Little Secrets (St. Martin's Press) and The Big Sleep (Random House), as well as The 24/7 Home Office Sourcebook (Prentice Hall). Her works for children include The Best Friend's Handbook: The Totally Cool, One of a Kind Book for You and Your Best Friend (Walker Books) and The Balloonatiks book series (Animagic Publishing) based on the upcoming Warner Brothers/Kids-WB television show.

As an editor, Erica has worked on hundreds of books, several of which have gone on to be bestsellers. As a ghostwriter, she has also been in demand and has been behind the scenes on many successful books. A veteran radio talk show guest, Erica has appeared on over a hundred radio talk shows, including many in national syndication. She has done many book signings and speaks regularly to young people about writing and publishing.

In her personal life she hates to fly, refuses to cook and is hard-pressed to get out of her pajamas each day as she works poolside in her home. She has a tight-knit circle of friends and family, loves to play poker and entertain, and has a houseful of unruly pets.
